New Procedure for Disseminating BQA Information

PDF Version of BQA 05-013 (PDF 22 KB)

Effective January 1, 2006, the Bureau of Quality Assurance (BQA) will implement a new process for disseminating information and updates to providers. The BQA Quarterly Information Update will be posted to the Internet once it is final and a postcard or similar notification will be mailed to providers announcing the posting and giving the website location. BQA will no longer be routinely mailing hard copies of the BQA Quarterly Information Update.

As you are aware, in March, 2002, the BQA began compiling information into a quarterly newsletter format and ended the mailing of BQA memos, with occasional exceptions. This transition has worked well and it is time to take the next step. The process of immediately posting new memos on our website will continue. All providers and interested stakeholders should check the website frequently for new, updated information, as well as when they receive notification from BQA.

The BQA website for BQA memos and Quarterly Information Updates is located at: http://dhfs.wisconsin.gov/rl_DSL/Publications/ BQAnodMems.htm.

The State of Wisconsin, along with the Department of Health and Family Services, is engaged in a major effort to provide greater electronic access to its services. If you have any questions or comments about the BQA memos or other provider information on the DHFS website, please contact Todd McCall, (608) 267-3808, email address mccaltw@dhfs.state.wi.us. Any other questions should be directed to Jan Eakins at (608) 266-2055, email eakinjl@dhfs.state.wi.us.
