Nutrition and Physical Activity Program
The Nutrition and Physical Activity Program provides statewide
leadership to decrease overweight and obesity, increase physical activity
and improve nutrition. Located in the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the Program and its partners have developed and are
implementing the Wisconsin Nutrition and Physical Activity State Plan to
accomplish the overall goal of preventing obesity and chronic disease.
Weighing and Measuring in

has been developed with the following objectives: 1) to help schools to be
better informed when making the decision of whether or not to weigh and
measure students; 2) to provide guidance and policy recommendations to
schools that choose to weigh and measure students: and 3) to provide
resources for schools to create environments supportive of healthy

The
Worksite Wellness Resource Kit
The second edition of the resource kit was released in
September 2007, with additional information added based on input from
worksites. The kit is a tool to assist worksites
with implementing strategies that have been proven to be
effective. The kit walks you through the process of developing a
worksite wellness program. |
